YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE SUFFICIENT EQUIPMENT TO CONNECT AND YOU JUST DON'T KNOW IT. WITHIN A FEW DAYS YOU COULD HAVE ACCESS TO:
|
WHAT . . . is it? |
WHY . . . do we run it? |
WHEN . . . is it available? |
WHERE . . . can we connect from? |
HOW . . . do we link up? |
| 802.11b otherwise known as Free Wireless Networking. Using computer network technology. | Free network to link people together for file sharing & communication. | The network is always on 24/7 365days. Since Oct. 2002. | As long as you have a good enough signal you can link from any location. | By using any wireless card that runs the 802.11b protocol, an antenna is also a good idea for long distance links. |

| DOES IT MATTER WHAT OPERATING SYSTEM I'VE GOT? |
|
If you are running Windows, Macintosh, Linux it doesn’t matter what operating system you’ve got you can still connect to the Duncraig Wireless Network. |
|
I’M NOT INTO COMPUTERS AND / OR DON'T THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO SET IT UP? |
| An advanced computer technician will be able to help you connect. We are also able to bring around our ‘test setup’ to your house to guarantee when you buy the equipment you will be able to connect. If you ever have any problems we are more then welcome to answer the questions, no matter how silly they may seem. We know that not everyone of us is a computer genius. |
| WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T CONNECT? THEN WHAT? |
|
As wireless relies on ‘line of sight’, not everyone will be able to pick up the signal to link on to the network. We are looking into having another access point in which you can connect to if you for some unforseen reason cannot connect to the wireless network. Make sure you still email us as you will be amazed at what your ‘line of sight’ actually is.
Duncraig Wireless is growing all the time and the more users connected
the better! So what are you waiting for? |
